Operational History

Formed on 26 Feb 1942 in the United Kingdom (from Polish troops that had escaped from France in 1940)

1942 - UK: formed with 16th Tank Brigade and 10th Armed Cavalry Brigade.
1943 - UK: reorganised with 10th Armed Cavalry Brigade and 3rd Rifle Brigade in October.

NW Europe

1944 - France: landed in Normandy on 30 July and fought through the
1944 - France: Normandy campaign to the Falaise pocket.
1944 - Belgium; Holland; Germany.
1945 - Germany: Kusten Canal, Wilhelshaven.

Fate: reached (and captured) Wilhelshaven port at the end of the war.
